These photos are from the weekend when she first arrived. Kira and Nana did crafts, polished Great Grandma Clarke's silver, picked out Kira's bunk beds, and swam. She got Bart and I to go out on TWO dates as well: )
I love having Nana here... the load always feels lighter with her around... she inspires me to be a good MOM! If you know her at all you know she always makes people feel special and not over-looked. It always amazes us how she makes it a point to remember even the smallest detail of our lives... like if my can opener was too rough to spin there would be a new one in the drawer when she left... our upstairs shower curtain liner was torn so before she left a new beautiful one was hung... my paper goods suddenly multiply.., and Bart has three coffee flavors to choose from! She is always giving me handy organizers and cards so I don't forget important dates of loved ones birthdays and such... still NEED to write down everyone's birthdays... she gave that to me probably 8 years ago! She keeps a tablet of paper everywhere to write down anything important... still need to stop writing on the backs of bills and such only to loose important information!! I tried hard to have some projects tackled before she came hoping she would have more free-time but we always stay busy especially since I have a daycare to keep going. I tried to tackle several areas of the house to get ready for the baby, knowing I will be less stressed if I do it now. I hope that her next visit she can just sit back and enjoy her newest grandchild and love on little Kira: )
