Zackary's Dedication at the Vineyard

We were so thankful to have Bart's family and my parents present as we dedicated Zack.  After getting to know Wendy English at the Vineyard I had this determination to have her help to dedicate our son.  It ended up we would do this on December 26th at the Windsor Vineyard.  I was so touched by the way the Lord had given her specific scripture to read (which I SHALL dig up soon) and that she asked me to share something if I felt prompted to.  She is sensitive to others and more importantly she is sensitive to the Holy Spirit.  After service we did photos and gathered for a family brunch at the Egg & I.  Moments later we were ALL in tears saying goodbye to Nana.  We were a mess.. BART INCLUDED!!

After church Kira let us know that we needed to go to church here and not in Fort Collins.  She felt a tug and so did we!! I can not say it is the perfect church nor the perfect group of people nor the best set up.  It was the Holy Spirit in that place and within the people we met whether in the staff, sitting around us, or in Kira's Sunday School class.

Celebrate, Jesus was born to show the way.

This was our first Christmas with Zackary in our arms.  Mom and I had picked out four special stockings for our future family years ago when we had NONE... so amazing to see God's provision!!  

Despite tight times for us financially Nana and Papa made sure all of us still had Christmas presents.  This year shampoo, socks and household items meant so much to me!  

Kira had several gifts from the Santa... a pillow pet, a little Olivia doll and a Barbie bike!  Daddy handed down my little laptop which has "edubuntu" loaded on it.  Her fine motor skills are awesome... she is also learning great things on it!  

On Christmas we spent a couple of hours at a local Nursing Home with people from the Vineyard Church.   We sang, read the story of Jesus birth, passed out presents, and chatted with the residents.  Unlike any other year we actually had one of our family members there needing a visit!  Kira and Zack were able to see GREAT Grandma Walker:) Note that tissue box with chapstick... this was a handy invention of Grandpa Saunders!  :)

We hosted our traditional BRUNCH... the food is always great!  Hoping my Mother-in-law makes cinnamon rolls EVERY YEAR!  Kira opened presents all day long.  One of my favorite moments was sitting down for a game of Scrabble of which I LOST as usual:)
